Eligibility

Eligible recipients include 18-40 year old students that identify as Black or African-American and are within an academic year of graduation. Students must be enrolled in a post-secondary institution or eligible for readmission to the institution with an overall grade point average of 2.5 or above (4.0 scale).

Special consideration will be given to students who will be the first to receive a post-secondary degree in their immediate family or demonstrate either past or present service to the community.

One-time scholarship of $1,750 to a student attending a 4-year institution (paid in two installments of $875) and $750 to a student attending a community college will be awarded annually.
